Planning approval was achieved on the edge of a highly protected Green Belt area without having to be reviewed by a Council Planning Committee and this was a considerable achievement.
The project involved demolishing an existing cottage and constructing a very modern house. The house opened up views at first floor level over open land and created an enclosed courtyard walled garden.
A contemporary use of timber laminated beams and columns were designed at the rear whilst the front was protected from the busy road with a brick facade.
